Congratulations to Coach Megan Bushue and the U12 LISC Girls, Champions of the Fishers Halloween Classic.

Bret Walton, (LISC U-19, 1982 - 1988),  playing for Dallas Club Azzurri of the North Texas Soccer Association, competed in the USASA, Men’s National Open Amateur Cup, Aug. 4 - 6 in Dallas, Texas.  As starting midfieldfielder and at 37, the oldest player in the tournament, Bret helped his Azzurri squad defeat Seattle (1 - 0) in the semi-final on Friday and Chicago (6 - 3 in double overtime) on Sunday to claim the National Amateur Cup Title for a Texas team only the second time in history since the competition began in 1914.  Over 600 teams from around the country compete annually in the tournament .  Playing for Azzurri with their Men’s Over Thirty squad, Bret also has to his credit two national titles in that division (2003, 2004).

The U15/16 Girls team won the NSR Gold Cup Tournament over Labor Day weekend.

Former club member Jacob Bushue (and brother of current coaches Cole and Megan) is a member of the 1992 Boys State ODP team, the Region II Pool, and the U-15 National Team.
