U11 Boys West Assistant Coach and U16 Boys Assistant Coach
Coach Mike Wilson has been playing and coaching soccer
for over 25 years. Originally from Overland Park, Kansas, Coach Wilson
played high school soccer at Shawnee Mission West High School, where he
helped his team to a second place finish in the state of Kansas in
1990. Coach Wilson played collegiately at Greenville College, in
Greenville, IL, where he started as a midfielder for four years. He was
a key component of the Greenville College team that went to the NCCAA
National Tournament in 1993. Coach Wilson has the "D" coaching license
from the USSF and the NSCAA National Youth Diploma. He
is also a USSF and IHSA certified referee. Mike is also the current
Director
of Club Events and works as the Tournament Director of the Fall/Spring
Cups for LISC. Mike currently lives in Paxton, IL, with his wife
Heather, and their four children. Coach Wilson works for Eastern Illini
Electric Cooperative, as the Marketing and Communication
Coordinator.
