Seamus Reilly played at University College Dublin from 1985-87 in the Amateur Union League, and For OMP Utd. 1983-87 in the Meath and District League. He also played on three intramural championship teams at the University of Illinois from 1992-99.

He previously was head boy's coach at Centennial High School from 1996-2000, Head Men's Coach at Parkland from 2000-2006; Head Women's Coach 2004-05; Centennial Boy's Assistant from 1994-96.

He was a member of the Illinois Olympic Development coaching staff from 1999-2005 and coach of the 1989 Girls from 2003-05.

He holds the USSF National D license and National and Advanced National diplomas from NSCAA and a KNVB (Dutch National Course) certificate.
