Orange & Blue Fall Cup Tournament
Field Marshals
Field Marshal is an essential part of the
tournament. The responsibility of the field marshal is
to check in all the players and to start the games on
time and to set up the corner flags at the beginning
of the day and remove them at the end.( the flags are
located in the brown shed.) Each field marshal will
be responsible for 2-3 fields.. The field marshals
will be scheduled in 4 hour time slots by a
coordinator. As the field marshal you will need to
arrive at least 40 mins. before they are scheduled to
start. Report to main table brown shed see site
coordinator. When you arrive pick up a fanny pack and
phone from the site coordinator( the first set of
field marshals for the day) or the field marshal you
are relieving .(vest may or may not be available, it
would be helpful to wear a bright color) The fanny
pack includes: score cards referee money and phone
list. All games are 30 min halves, (5 min half),
except U9-10 are 25 min. halves.
?
Verify the game card should have the correct teams,
field and time on it. The card goes to the center
referee, they hold the responsibility of filling in
the scores and the responsibility of the winning teams
manager to make sure they get to the scoring/
communications area at the end of the game.
?
Referee pay is listed on the envelopes. Give the
center referee payment before the game starts. The
center referee will be responsible for distributing
the money to the assistances.
?
Collect a game ball from the home team at time of
check-in. 30 mins prior to the start of the game
check-in each team. Check the players cards with the
player calling out each players name. The ID cards
stay with you until the game is over and then confer
with the center referee. If any red cards were issued
that card needs to be pulled. These cards go to the
director or site coordinator, the rest are returned to
the coaches. The players should also be checked for
shin guards and cleats. (shin guards must be
completely covered, no steel cleats are allowed,
aluminum studs should be checked for sharp edges). No
jewelry of any kind, earrings, hair clips. Shirts
should be tucked in.
?
Inform the coaches that their players are to warm-up
off the fields while the preceding game is taking
place. Remind the coaches the center referee will
forfeit the game if a team is more than 5 mins. Late
for the scheduled game.
?
The home team is to change their uniform if there is a
color conflict
?
Injuries, alert the medical staff by phone.
In the event of problems with coaches, parents or
