Attendees: Robert Baird, Amy Jenkins, Paige Lewis, Pat Kemme, Cathy Moe, Karl Newman, Gary Sullan, Derek Vannice, and Ron Walton

Absent: Rick Hazelwood

1. Karl Newman - High School Boy Tryouts are scheduled for Oct 9^th for boys aged 15 through 18.  Karl would like LISC to provide a mailer to all of the coaches and Athletic Directors in the following areas

Champaign, Urbana

St Joe

Bloomington

Charleston

Danville

Mahomet

Monticello.

Announcement of Tryouts also to appear on LISC web page and e- mailed to all boys that participated last year.

2. Ron appointed Derek as Vice President of LISC

3. Derek presented a rough draft of the proposed contract for the Director of Coaching (DOC).

Since LISC is a non profit c3 organization can offer a services contract or a employment contract.  Each having pros and cons for the organization.  At this time, the board decided to proceed with a services contract for the new DOC.

4. Ron reviewed the 7 individuals considered by the Search committee for the DOC position.  Search committee consists of Ron Walton, Derek Vannice, Karl Newman, and Robert Baird.

5. Derek motioned - The Search committee may begin negotiations with Mike Kobylinski not to exceed $35,000 with the final contract being voted on later by the board.  Amy Jenkins seconded and the board voted unanimously to accept.  .

6. Parent Reps have not been established for all of the teams according to Amy Jenkins.

7. Fall Cup Progress

a.   173 teams registered, August 30^th is cutoff date, Scheduling this week

b   Jon Foreman wants to set up fields on Wed and will talk to UI for permission.

c.   Concession Coordinator - Jennifer Clark, need 2 other coordinators

d.   Scoring – Amy Hall and Del Krantz coordinating

e.   Clean Up – Ann Silvis coordinating

f.   Signs – Cathy Moe coordinating

g.   Publicity – Derek Vannice, Debbie Greco, Maeve Reilly and Rick Hazelwood coordinating  Amy Hall to give Derek an old Fall Cup program as reference. Janet Reyfield to hand out trophies on Sunday. Girl Soccer Players available during the tournament for autographs

h.   Scheduling committee – Paige Lewis, Mike Wingo, Terry Hinds, and Jeff Findley, Amy Hall

i.   Ron will provide menu offered at Dodds so LISC menu not in conflict – can offer donuts, smoothie, coffee, Gatorade, fruits and vegetables

j.   Ron is also taking care of the grilling at all three sites

k.   Paige Lewis – Closing off street between main complex to multi-plex

l.   Paige Lewis – Weiskamp will be offering T-shirts.  Paige will make the final decision on how LISC and Weiscamp will work together

m.   Amy Hall ordering trophies

n.   Photographer- On Sunday of the tournament, Liz Reagan, Rick Langlois and Robert taking pictures

o.   Ron will coordinate restaurant offers which allows tournament participants to receive a 10% food discounts and LISC to get commission

p.   Hotels – 1200 room blocked with 25 comp rooms.  Ron estimates LISC to receive $10,000 net.

Super 8 or Urbana and Rantoul will not participate with the Suzi Davis Travel and will not provide commission although booked 50 rooms.   These rooms are being rescheduled.

q.   Karl purchasing 2 set of large nets for the tournament - ~$400 each.

8. Coaching Status:  coaches for all teams except U18 girls – still missing paperwork for the girls.  Currently have one full team coached by Mike Wingo, Adam Jenkins, and Phil Anders.  Games are to be handled by 2 fathers.

9. CISYL scheduled late this year – most teams play one Sunday in Champaign but due to conflict with the Adult Soccer Federation League, large fields may not be available and looking for other fields.

10.  U14 boys team has 12 players and still recruiting.
